Compatible with the EQ-300 is the Aquasana EQ-304 4 pack of whole house pre-filter cartridges. These pre-filters need to be replaced every 3-6 months depending on water quality and sediment levels. Aquasana EQ-304 sediment pre-filter cartridges are used to prevent dirt and sediment particles from entering and clogging the main filter unit. It darkens and slows down the flow of water when it needs to be replaced.
